Pittsburgh or bust!

We gathered at CMC to load the cars, organize our snacks, and pray for safety around 9am for our voyage to Pittsburgh.  We had a great trip and wonderful compromise as the guys allowed for the watching of  a "chick flick" movie.  I guess they got out-voted by a 2:1 margin!  :)  There were lots of laughs, jokes, and naps on our 5.5 hour trip north.  Apples to Apples was a hit, with Maria being the "perfect, brilliant, awkward, delicate" winner!  

Our stop for lunch included a new friend,  Andrew's triple 3/4 lb. cheeseburger at Wendy's.  He put a hurting on that thing, even the staff was impressed!

We arrived in at our hotel shortly after 3pm to sunshine and smiles.  The youth were all very patient and easy-going with checking in and getting settled.  Here are the girls showing how much fun they are having on the shuttle bus that will transport us from the hotel to the convention center each day.

After getting registered and exploring the Convention center, we headed out to "The Strip" to eat at the famous Primanti Brothers, as seen on the Food Network show, Man vs. Food.  These sandwiches are known for being close to a mile-high, loaded with tomatoes, cole slaw and french fries.

 We are chowing down on this deliciousness.  Maria even said that this was the best part of her day.

We hightailed it back to the convention center to go to worship at 6:45. It was quite the experience to gather with 7,000 other people.  The photos just do. not. do. the. space. and. size. justice.

So far, we have had an awesome day--but are tired.  We look forward to what awaits us tomorrow!
